Visit To Germany

On the weekend of 1-3 May 2009 Master Annette Salles, Chief Instructor Germany, hosted instructors / students from the UK and Portugal to visit and participate in a Tang Soo Do championships / seminars in Bielstein.

European Master Instructors where attending, as did many students from Portugal and UK.

Master Y.D. Kim Visits UK

Master Yong Il (Damien) Kim is 7^th Dan Master Instructor in Tang Soo Do. He is Choong Jae Nim’s eldest son and he is based in Arlington, Texas, USA.

He started Traditional Korean Tang Soo Do at the age of 5.

Master Kim spent a year living and training in the art of Korean Kumdo (sword) and in the art of Moo Sul with focus on Bong Sul (Long Staff) 

Master Kim also received Masters in Legal Ethics from University of Baltimore, Maryland and Masters in  Business Administration and J.D. from University of Batimore, Maryland. He has worked as legal aid on the September 11th Victims Compensation Fund with the U. S. Government

Master Y.D. Kim in Cardiff

Master Y.D. Kim’s visit to Cardiff, Wales was well received at the end of February this year (2009). He presided over Dan Grade testing and conducted student seminars, with students travelling from as far afield as Germany and Portugal.

Friday 27th February was Dan Grade testing; the evening however was marked by the promotion of Darryl Collier to 1st Dan and Masters Abilio & Christina Augusto receiving their 4th Dan Masters belts.

Saturday 28th February Master Kim gave enlightening student seminars to students of all age and grades. Following each session students walked away with eyes filled with enthusiasm. Master Y.D. Kim is a talented instructor who has the gift of simultaneously communicating ‘one to one’ with everybody in the room.

UK Master Promotions

Sunday 28th September 2008 saw Mrs Helen Daniel join the ranks of UK Masters. Master Daniel was promoted following a promotion test held in April 2008. This test was preceded by 20yrs of practicing Tang Soo Do, And 10 years of teaching Tang Soo Do.

I’m sure you’ll all join me in saying “Congratulations Sah Bom Nim!”

The same night also saw Master Christian Hellings promoted to 5th Dan.

Students at Aberdare TSD are raising money to defend the Welsh Laguage in Patagonia, Argentina.

10th World International Tang Soo Do Federation Championship

We are excited to announce that the 10th World International Tang Soo Do Federation™ Championship will be held at the Wyndham Resort Hotel in Orlando, Florida, August 1-3, 2008. On Friday, August 1st various seminars will be held including gup, dan, and judge/referee. In addition, team elimination matches will be held. Friday will conclude with a special Awards Dinner. Saturday, Aug. 2nd will be the 10th World Championship including Grand Champion matches and Team Finals. Sunday, Aug. 3rd concludes the event with the 54th Dan Classing Championship. Begin making plans now to attend this exciting event and consider including your family vacation with this event since Disney, Epcot and Universal Studios are nearby! Additional information will be sent to all of the school instructors/owners and posted on this site in the near future.

Choong Jae Nim Visits European Partners Nov 2006

Master Chun Sik Kim visited Kyo Sahs Abilio & Christina Augusto in Portugal between 17th & 19th Nov 2006. Mexico Chief Instructor Adriano Mendietta, European Chief Instructor Master Wynford Williams, Master Kim's oldest Son - Master Y D Kim and European General Secretary Master Richard Hellings joined him on his very first visit to this beautiful country.
